DIRECTING

Picture
"A formidable and fiercely driven talent for storytelling on stage. A BIG storyteller. " -Doug Wager, Former Artistic Director of Arena Stage
"Armina LaManna’s brilliant stagecraft… her flamboyant (in the best sense of the word) use of flowing drapes, the moments of frozen action, and her bridge scene— Grusha descends from scaffolding to walk precariously across the arms of the ensemble—punctuate Brecht’s play with moments of brilliant spectacle. Excellently staged." -BroadStreetReview
"LaManna’s deliberate pacing helps to create an overall sense of unease, as though the actors have lost themselves in the characters, who, in turn, have lost themselves inside a twisted, waking nightmare… taking the 90-minute one-act to even creepier depths." - Backstage West

Since then she went on to study, perform and teach in America and Russia.
