The Tale of Turandot
A theatrical puppet experience for young audiences from 4 to 94. The story revolves around a traveling commedia del'arte troupe that puts on a production of Princess Turandot - a story based on an ancient Persian fairy tale. This adaptation tells the story of the misunderstood Princess Turandot. This is not a story about a cold-hearted princess, but rather a tale about a young woman who fights for the right to make her own choices in life. Premiered in November 2019 at Imagine Project. “Enchanting show... Powerful re-imaginging” -ArtsBeatLA “Artistically imagined... A+” –Culture Spot LA Pushkin at Boldino 1833. Alexander Pushkin is stuck in Boldino, Russia. Stuck with writing assignments from the Czar, stuck with his wife's coquetting escapades in St. Petersburg, and stuck with rebelling characters of his own imagination. What is a writer to do when the blank page taunts him and his imagination controls him? “Brilliant, and altogether funny and engaging…” -BroadStreet Review “Best in Fringe” – Philly Metro |
